Porcelain Wall Sculpture

This series of ceramic wall sculptures is modelled from porcelain and earthenware clay. The images are taken from a number of my fully three-dimensional sculptures based on female imagery from religion and mythology.

Plaster molds of the faces of the original sculptures provide a template into which the porcelain is press-molded.

Designs and colouring are then applied with a sumi-e brush and air brush. Some of the works are glazed with a semi-gloss clear finish.

These pieces were created for an exhibition in 2015 at Gallery 126, Armidale, NSW, Australia.
